Your pet is in pain — and medication alone isn't enough.

You've tried painkillers and anti-inflammatories, but your pet is still stiff, reluctant to play, or slowing down. Long-term medication comes with side effects — and you want a better option.

Veterinary acupuncture offers a proven, drug-free path to pain relief and healing. At RehabVet — Singapore's first dedicated rehabilitation clinic — acupuncture is part of our integrative approach to restoring your pet's comfort and quality of life.

What is Veterinary Acupuncture?

Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine for dogs and cats

Veterinary acupuncture involves the insertion of fine, sterile needles into specific points on the body to stimulate natural healing. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM), it promotes the release of endorphins, improves blood circulation, reduces inflammation, and supports the nervous system.

At RehabVet, acupuncture is used both as a standalone treatment and as part of a multimodal rehabilitation plan — combined with laser therapy, physiotherapy, or hydrotherapy depending on your pet's specific needs.

How an acupuncture session works

1
Assessment
Your pet is assessed by our veterinary team. We review history, pain points, and overall condition using both Western and TCVM diagnostics.
2
Needle Placement
Fine sterile needles are gently inserted at specific acupoints. Most pets relax within minutes — many fall asleep.
3
Treatment
Needles remain in place for 15–30 minutes. Electroacupuncture may be used for deeper stimulation if needed.
4
Review & Plan
Post-session assessment and progress review. Your therapist will outline the recommended treatment schedule.

Why RehabVet?

Not all rehabilitation is equal

1
Singapore's first dedicated rehabilitation clinic
We are not a general vet that offers acupuncture as a side service. Every therapist, piece of equipment, and room in our clinic exists for one purpose: rehabilitation and recovery.
2
Integrative approach — acupuncture + modern rehab
We combine TCVM acupuncture with Class 4 laser therapy, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, and more. Your pet gets a tailored plan, not a one-size-fits-all treatment.
3
Qualified veterinary rehabilitation specialists
Our team are trained rehabilitation specialists — not general practice vets. Led by Dr. Sara Lam, 2025 Bright Minds Wellness Champion.
4
195+ verified 5-star reviews
Real outcomes, real pet owners. Our results speak through our patients — dogs and cats who found relief and recovery under our care.
