Your dog used to run, jump, and play — now they can barely walk.

After surgery, injury, or years of joint wear, your dog has lost strength and confidence. Rest alone won't rebuild what they've lost — they need targeted, guided exercise to regain muscle and mobility.

At RehabVet — Singapore's first dedicated veterinary rehabilitation clinic — our physiotherapists design personalised exercise programmes that progressively rebuild your dog's strength, balance, and function.

What is Dog Physiotherapy?

Land-based rehabilitation exercises for dogs and cats

Veterinary physiotherapy uses targeted land-based exercises — balance boards, cavaletti poles, resistance training, stretching, and proprioceptive drills — to rebuild muscle strength, improve joint range of motion, and restore normal movement patterns after injury or surgery.

At RehabVet, physiotherapy is delivered by qualified rehabilitation specialists who assess your dog's gait, posture, and muscle condition at every session. We combine physio with laser therapy, hydrotherapy, and other modalities when your dog's recovery demands it.

How a physiotherapy session works

1
Assessment
Gait analysis, muscle measurement, and range-of-motion testing to establish a baseline.
2
Warm-up
Gentle massage and passive range-of-motion exercises to prepare muscles and joints.
3
Active Exercises
Targeted strength, balance, and proprioceptive exercises tailored to your dog's condition and progress.
4
Cool-down & Home Plan
Post-session review and home exercise instructions so recovery continues between visits.
